Bagels in the Morning

sunshine oh sunshine

you brighten my day

with little feathers floating through my mind

you make all the bad days go away.

how strange to be a child in your arms

as you chew secrets into my tiny ear

let’s toast our bagels and add a cream cheese spread

as we watch all the clouds disappear.
